General Description
Sparkling Emerald Green Crystals & Bright Yellow & Even Rarer Mimetite Contrasting On A Huge Top Quality Museum Specimen! This is one of the rarest specimens of Dioptase we have had in years with its combination of Mimetite! Only a handful of these specimens came up in 2018 to 2019! Exceptionally rare and absolutely museum quality piece. Don't miss out on this killer tenured collectors specimen.
Generally Speaking - Dioptase is an exceptionally rare material. This often forms in glistening drusy/sugary and classic cubic emerald green crystallisation forms with prismatic forms being extremely rare. Every single piece has been graded and priced according to quality by Nick. Dioptase is rare and comes in very sporadically, there is a reasonable amount coming from this mine, for now, but it is often years between decent Dioptase finds. Item/s is as shown.
Mimetite is a lead arsenate chloride mineral which forms as a secondary mineral in lead deposits, usually by the oxidation of galena and arsenopyrite. The name derives from the Greek Μιμητής mimetes, meaning "imitator" and refers to mimetite's resemblance to the mineral pyromorphite.
